Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes opinions on its work and is keen to encourage users of this site to express themselves in a clear and open manner. The primary aim of this site is to allow inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides to provide ideas and feedback to the Comhairle on an ongoing basis.  To ensure that this site functions properly, all comments are pre-moderated and as a result will not appear instantly.     HAVE YOUR SAY - The future development of the Outer Hebrides

    We are consulting on a Main Issues Report (MIR) as part of the preparation for a new Local Development Plan (LDP), which will guide development and land use in the Outer Hebrides over the next 10-20 years. We are now mid-way through the consultation period, which closes on Friday 26th February, and the public are encouraged to comment and help shape the future development of the Outer Hebrides.

    OUTER HEBRIDES DESIGN AWARDS 2016

    The third Outer Hebrides Design Awards are now open for nominations. The Awards will be presented in the categories of Housing, Business / Non-domestic and Conservation. The Awards celebrate the most exceptional developments completed within the last two years, and those shortlisted will be invited to our Awards Ceremony. Our winners will become part of the Comhairle's promotion of good design.
