Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes opinions on its work and is keen to encourage users of this site to express themselves in a clear and open manner. The primary aim of this site is to allow inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides to provide ideas and feedback to the Comhairle on an ongoing basis. To ensure that this site functions properly, all comments are pre-moderated and as a result will not appear instantly. However, the site is monitored on a daily basis and the Comhairle would aim to allow comments to appear as quickly as possible. From Library Coffee Shop To Community Creative Space
Plans are underway to redevelop the old Library Coffee Shop into a Makerspace, and open it again to the community to encourage and support a range of activities for all ages.
A Makerspace is a shared space for adults, young people and children to make, learn, create and explore using a variety of tools and resources.

Residents of the Western Isles are being encouraged to fill in a short survey on the early proposals for a World Class centre which will tell the story of the Iolaire tragedy.

Consultation Events Skye Triangle Port Upgrades
To prepare for the new ferry that has been procured by Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL), upgrade work is being proposed at the harbours at Tarbert (Harris), Lochmaddy and Uig, known as the Skye Triangle ports.

Licensed Taxi and Private Hire Car (Where fitted with Taxi Meter) Fare Structure
It is the duty of a licensing authority to set from time to time the scales for fares and other related charges for the hire of taxis, and to review these scales at intervals not exceeding 18 months, in terms of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.

Comhairle and HHP Host Construction Supplier Event
