    An election is to be held for the return of Community Councillors for the Airidhantuim area. To be eligible for election to the Community Council candidates must be resident within and registered as a Local Government Elector within the Airidhantuim Community Council area. Each candidate for election must be supported by a proposer who must be resident within and registered as a Local Government Elector in the Airidhantuim Community Council area.

  • National Grant will bring Harris Tweed Authority Archive to Stornoway

    The Harris Tweed Authority archive will be brought together in Stornoway for the first time thanks to an award of almost £30,000 to Tasglann nan Eilean (Hebridean Archives) by the National Cataloguing Grants Programme. The grant means that the archive collection, previously split between Tasglann nan Eilean and the Highland Archive Centre in Inverness, will be made accessible to the public at the new archive facility at Lews Castle.
