  • Surface Dressing - South Uist

    Image © Kielybros.Comhairle nan Eilean Siar would like to remind the travelling public that, weather permitting, Surface Dressing operations will be taking place on the C89 Ludag area and the A865 Askernish area in South Uist from the afternoon of Tuesday 16th May. Works are expected to last for 3 to 4 days.

  • Public Performance Reporting

    Councils have a duty under the Local Government in Scotland Act 2003 to report publicly their performance in delivering their services. As from 2009/10 the Comhairle has been producing these snapshot reports in the format of Public Performance Calendars which have been circulated mainly through schools in the Outer Hebrides, but also though other media. 

     
  • Free Essential Cycling Skills Training for Adults

    As part of the Smarter Choices, Smarter Places initiative, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is delighted to be working with Cycling Scotland to hold Essential Cycling Skills training for adults. As well as a 2 hour training session Essential Cycling Skills (ECS) has a suite of resources available to help boost the confidence of those new to or returning to cycling and give them the necessary skills to negotiate on-road journeys or commutes.
