Winter Highlands and Islands Survey

The Federation of Small Businesses is calling all Western Isles businesses to take part in their Winter Highlands and Islands Survey.

As 'the voice of smaller businesses', the FSB relies heavily on business surveys and case studies to ensure that they are best representing the views of members and the wider business community to politicians and policymakers. It's important that political decisions that can make or break businesses are based on facts and not supposition.

An FSB spokesperson, said: "Recognising that the wider Highlands & Islands region faces unique opportunities and challenges at the moment, we have already surveyed businesses here four times this year. Now, at the close of the year, we are surveying again to enable us to fully understand some key issues from 2021, and to get an insight into some of the most important that businesses will face in 2022 - things like costs and staffing. We want to hear from all businesses, whether they are doing well, badly or indifferently, and recognising that business life in, say, Stornoway, is very different to Moray or Argyll, we are hoping for as many responses as possible from all areas of the region so that we can give the full local flavour and compare results."
