Community Consultation on the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021

Overview

Scotland became the first country in the World to make period products free for everyone in need when the Scottish Government passed a Members Bill to legislate all local authorities to provide free period products in November 2020.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar have made free period products available in public buildings since 2020 and we wish to consult the local community on the current and future provision of Period Products in Public Buildings in the Western Isles.

Why We Are Consulting

We would like to hear from those in the local community who use period products currently or in the future and those who may collect these for others to use. This information will assist us in improving the service we provide.
