  • Failte Cafe and Plant Sale -5 July 2017

    The Failte Café will be open Wednesday 5th July 2017 from 11am to 2pm.         

    We will be serving homemade Butternut Squash & Sweet Potato soup and Lentil & Bacon soup along crusty rolls, various sandwiches and Hebridean Chocolate Brownies.  

    Please come along and support our café volunteers who do such a great job every week.  

     

     

     
  • Comhairle calls for cross party support ahead of Westminster debate on island renewables

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has called for cross party support ahead of a Westminster debate on island renewables taking place on Tuesday 4 July.

    Councillor Donald Crichton, Chairman of the Sustainable Development Committee, has welcomed the debate and said it was important that the Government clarified its position and implemented its manifesto commitment regarding island renewables.

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar along with Caledonian MacBrayne, Police Scotland and the Stornoway Port Authority are encouraging travellers to make bus and ferry bookings well in advance of travel.
