  • BLUE-GREEN ALGAE

    Recent samples taken at Loch Branahuie, near Stornoway have indicated the presence of blue-green algae. The bloom has the potential to discharge onto Melbost Beach.     Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has appointed Mr Angus Maclennan as Headteacher of E-Sgoil. Mr Maclennan is currently Depute Rector at The Nicolson Institute in Stornoway and has previously worked at Sgoil a' Bhac, The Nicolson Institute and as Education Officer at Museum nan Eilean.
