Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is offering Gaelic-speaking students and organisations which work through the medium of Gaelic the opportunity to participate in the 2016 Summer Placement Scheme.   • 10th Anniversary Womens Cancer Challenge - Saturday 21st May at 12pm

    Just a quick reminder about the Womens Cancer Challenge event taking place from Lews Castle College on Saturday 21st May. It's hard to believe that this is year ten!  Over the last nine years participants in the event have raised over £80,000 for the Lewis branch of Cancer Research UK and it has become the largest sporting participation event in the Outer Hebrides.

  • Mobile Library Service

    The Mobile Library Service supplies books to those people who are unable to use a branch library because of distance, age or disability.  We have 3 vehicles which serve communities in Lewis, Harris and the Uists, generally at three weekly intervals. Please see the updated timetable.
