  • Comhairle Welcomes Expanded Flight Schedule

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has welcomed an expanded schedule of flights on Loganair services. The new schedule, announced today, will see larger aircrafts with increased capacity being used on Stornoway-Glasgow flights and new flights which will see a service from Stornoway to Manchester via Inverness or Glasgow.     Are your children bored of staying inside in the cold wintery weather? Why not let them try some indoor climbing? We will be introducing some new indoor climbing sessions for children this Winter. We still have some spaces available on our after school climbing sessions.

     
  • Comhairle Calls for new cash to be used for second ETV

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is calling on the UK Government to use part of the new cash fund announced in yesterday's Autumn Statement for Civil Resilience and Community Safety, to be used for a second Emergency Towing vessel (ETV) based on the west coast of Scotland.

  • Airidhantuim Community Council Election

    An election is to be held for the return of Community Councillors for the Airidhantuim area. To be eligible for election to the Community Council candidates must be resident within and registered as a Local Government Elector within the Airidhantuim Community Council area. Each candidate for election must be supported by a proposer who must be resident within and registered as a Local Government Elector in the Airidhantuim Community Council area.
