• Comhairle Calls for new cash to be used for second ETV

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is calling on the UK Government to use part of the new cash fund announced in yesterday's Autumn Statement for Civil Resilience and Community Safety, to be used for a second Emergency Towing vessel (ETV) based on the west coast of Scotland.

    An election is to be held for the return of Community Councillors for the Airidhantuim area. To be eligible for election to the Community Council candidates must be resident within and registered as a Local Government Elector within the Airidhantuim Community Council area. Each candidate for election must be supported by a proposer who must be resident within and registered as a Local Government Elector in the Airidhantuim Community Council area.
