  • Stornoway Abattoir

    Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar owns the Stornoway Abattoir.  The Abattoir is a fully equipped, modern abattoir, which holds a full licence for trading and meets the required European Standards. Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar substantially refurbished these premises in 1993 and since that time has improved and maintained the facility to a high standard.

     
  • Trading Standards Warning

    Trading Standards officers  at CNES are issuing advice to consumers regarding the current eco schemes for replacement boilers and wall insulation.

    These schemes are run by 3rd party installers on behalf of Energy suppliers as part of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO).

    The Failte Café will be open today Wednesday 23rd August  2017 from 11am to 2pm.                

    We will be serving homemade Sweet Potato & Coconut soup and Pea & Ham soup with various sandwiches
