    The Comhairle are preparing a Gaelic Language Plan for 2018-2022 for the Western Isles, in terms of the Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005.   • Isle of Lewis War Memorial Restoration 2017

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is pleased that the restoration works to the Lewis War Memorial have now been completed. The Comhairle was successful in securing a substantial grant of £132k from the War Memorial Trusts, First World War Memorials Programme, for £200k of refurbishment proposals.
