Moderation Guidelines
Contributors must be over 16 or have the permission of a parent/guardian to register and comment. To ensure that your comment appears on the site, it is suggested that you bear in mind the following guidelines.
Be respectful to other people. Comments should not be malicious, offensive or attack a person's character. Incitement of hatred on the basis of race, religion, gender, nationality or sexuality or other personal characteristic will not be tolerated. Swearing, hate-speech or obscenity is not permitted.
Please do not reveal personal details, such as private addresses, phone numbers, email addresses or other online contact details.
Any comment that breaks the law will not be posted on the site.
Comments deemed to constitute spamming of the site will not appear.
This site is not for the advertising of commercial products and services and if a comment is seen to be doing so, it will not be posted.
A comment that impersonates or falsely claims to represent a person or organisation will not appear.
Please do not post messages that are unrelated to the subject matter being discussed as these will not appear.
The Comhairle cannot publish comments that are party political in nature.
The Comhairle does not wish to censor comments; it is your opinion that matters. These guidelines exist to promote constructive dialogue that is relevant to the work of the Comhairle.
