Passive Acoustic Monitoring- Equipment Deployment As-Laid Positions

The Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) using the vessel Lochlann deployed a single Passive Acoustic Monitoring Device (PAM) on behalf of Spiorad na Mara Ltd (SNMPAM 01) on 11th January 2024.

SNMPAM 01 was serviced on 11th May 2024 using the Seatrek vessel MV Challenger and a second PAM (SNMPAM 02) was successfully deployed on site. The equipment is scheduled to be deployed for an estimated period of 9 months

The PAM positions will be posted onto the Kingfisher Bulletin and KIS-ORCA websites for the duration of deployment.
