Funding for Numeracy Support

Funded By UK Government

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has received funding to improve the levels of numeracy of individuals in the Western Isles through the Government's Multiply Programme.

Multiply funding can be used to support the improvement of numeracy levels of any individual with a Mathematics qualification lower than National 5 or equivalent.

Chair of Education, Sport and Children's Services, Cllr Paul Finnegan, said: "Mathematics is a core skill and achieving a good level of qualification is a great asset to employment in a range of sectors as well as for progression to college and university education. I would encourage any individual who meets the criteria for support through multiply to get in touch with the Comhairle."

Anyone requiring additional information on the support should contact Comhairle nan Eilean Siar at: employability@cne-siar.gov.uk
