The sports council in partnership with sportscotland and Scottish clubsport are delighted with the return of the sports councils annual sports awards.
This is a great opportunity for your club to recognises the voluntary work put in by one of your coaches, or parents and also some of your talented athletes, look forward to receiving your complete applications.
Nominations must be made on the official Sport Awards Nomination Form.

The Sports Council is seeking nominations for the following awards:
Sportscotland Community Coach of the Year
This award will be made to a coach who has supported the development of athletes or teams, who are in the main over the age of 18 and who has significantly increased the sporting opportunities available and participation levels within their community.
Sportscotland Young Person's Coach of the Year
This award will be made to a coach who has made an outstanding contribution to the introduction and early development of sport for young people under the age of 18.
Sportscotland Young Coach of the Year
This award will be made to a coach who has made an outstanding contribution to the introduction and early development of sport for young people under the age of 18.
Over 18 Sports Person of the Year
The main criteria for the award is why do you think that the person you have nominated is worthy of winning the award.
Under 18 Sports Person of the Year
The main criteria for the award is why do you think that the person you have nominated is worthy of winning the award.
Murdo Maclean Team/Squad
This award is selected by the Lewis and Harris Sports Council Office Bearers (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary)
LHSC Club of the Year
The Sports Council is seeking nominations from affiliated clubs and organisations that have developed or enhanced their activities over the last year/s. If you feel your club meets this criteria and would be worthy of consideration for the award in Lewis and Harris please complete the nomination form.
Scottish Clubsport Service to Sport
The main criteria for the Award is that the nominee has made a significant voluntary contribution as an administrator, coach or official to local sport over a lengthy period of time. The Award is not permitted to be presented to a competitor, performer, team or club or to an employee of a local authority or similar agency who have made their contribution as part of paid employment
