Stornoway Town Hall Social Care Open Days

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will join partner organisations in Stornoway Town Hall on 14th, 15th and 16th June to promote careers in the care sector.

The three open days will run from 2pm - 4pm and will give an opportunity for members of the public to have any questions about jobs in Adult Social Care answered.

The event will aim to present an honest outlook of what it is really like to work in Social Care and allow for direct conversations between members of the public and current care staff.

It will also allow for any individuals who currently feel unable to apply for jobs to discuss issues such as transport, childcare and working hours.

Skills Development Scotland Staff

Department of Work and Pensions

CNES Employability and Apprenticeship Team

UHI Outer Hebrides

Across the three days Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will be promoting job opportunities at the new Goathill Campus. The following opportunities will be advertised:

Social Care Assistant

Activity Facilitators

Assistant Cook

Domestic Assistant

Clerical Assistant

Jobs can be applied for through  My Job Scotland (Some jobs may not be visible until later today (14 June))

Efforts will be made to replicate this event to promote job opportunities across the Western Isles.
