Slàinte Mhath memberships to resume

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar's 'Slainte Mhath' membership and pricing policy is being fully restored.
Over the past 18 months, CnES Sport and Health have been offering a reduced-price membership scheme - 'Fàilte Air Ais' - which reflected the restricted facilities that were available and which also aimed to encourage the community to stay active. In addition, the 'Pay As You Go' prices were reduced.
A spokesperson said: "Over the last few months we have been really delighted to see so many familiar faces returning to use our facilities as things return to 'normal'!
In March 2020, we froze all existing 'Slainte Mhath' memberships during lockdown and we are now in a position to resume our usual membership and pricing policy, as all of our activity areas have now reopened. We emailed all of our temporary members on 16 June advising that from 1 July 2022 their membership price would revert to 'Slàinte Mhath' prices as they were at March 2020".
These are:
Family Membership - £25
Individual Membership - £18.75
Concession Family Membership - £18.75
Concession Individual Membership - £15
Requests for cancellations or changes to membership levels have now been actioned by the Admin Team and the above charges will begin coming out of member accounts on 1st July.
The 'Slainte Mhath' scheme is the cheapest of its type in Scotland and taking inflation into account, is currently cheaper than when the service was launched in 2010.
In addition, the 'Pay As You Go' prices will revert to the level they were at in March 2020 from Friday 1st July.
New applications:
Anyone wishing to join the membership should complete the new online application form. Additionally, anyone who did not take out a temporary membership will need to reapply to join Slàinte Mhathby completing the form above.
A spokesperson added "Over the last two years the Comhairle has sustained substantial costs operating and maintaining facilities whilst missing out on significant levels of income but we are really grateful for all the loyal support we have had from customers over this period. We look forward to seeing everyone as usual over the coming months!"
