Polling

Electors in Wards 1 and 6 are reminded that Polling Stations are open today, Thursday 30 June 2022, till 10.00pm.  Electors are reminded when voting, to number the candidates in order using 1, 2, 3 and so on.

Postal Voters

Postal voters must return their postal pack by 10.00pm today, Thursday 30 June, and they can be handed in to a Polling Station or to the Comhairle offices in Stornoway or Castlebay.

Emergency Proxies

Emergency proxies can be applied for up till 5.00pm today, Thursday 30 June, if you are unable to vote in person due to service or work reasons or if you are following government or medical advice.  An elector must phone the Electoral Registration Office on 01851 706262 to request an emergency proxy.

Counting of Votes

Ward 1 - The Count will commence at 10.00pm on Thursday 30 June 2022, in Castlebay School, Isle of Barra.  Declaration will be by midnight.

Ward 6 - The Count will commence at 2.00pm on Friday 1 July 2022, in Breasclete Hall, Isle of Lewis.  Declaration will be by 5.00pm.
