Support for Community Projects
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has announced £1.2 million of grants from Crown Estate revenues funding to support community projects across the Western Isles.
Comhairle Leader, Cllr Roddie Mackay, said: "We agreed recently to set aside nearly £1.2m of Crown Estate Round 3 funds as part of our commitment to ensuring communities benefit directly. Each Ward area will receive £133,100 and the application process will be supported by the Community Learning and Development Officers in each area."

The CERF is to be distributed to community groups seeking to improve infrastructure and development in their area.
The Comhairle agreed the allocation of this funding at their meeting in February 2022.
The closing date for applications is the 11th April 2022 and Community Learning and Development staff are available to help community groups with their application. To apply eligible organisations must:
- fully complete the Year 3 CERF application
- submit the form to their local Community Learning and Development Officer
