Visiting to CNES Care Homes Update

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar asks that all visitors contact care homes in advance of any visits. 

This measure will allow staff to ensure that visits are carried out as safely as possible and that infection prevention and control measures are in place.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has confirmed it has no plans to cease or reduce visits to care homes at this time. This position is based on advice outlined by the Open with Care visiting guidance.

Care home staff have worked hard to increase opportunities for people to connect with others more safely, recognising that this is essential to the wellbeing of residents, their families, and friends.

Managing the number of visitors within a care home at any given time makes this task more manageable.

Care home staff would like to thank visitors for their patience and understanding at this time.
