Archaeology Open Days

Museum nan Eilean, Lews Castle are inviting you to three open days looking behind the scenes of the Sònraichte Project: how archaeological assemblages are excavated, how they are transferred to the museum, and how they are managed by the museum archaeologist. An opportunity to meet the Project Officer Samantha Ferrer and handle some of the museum's archaeology assemblages and how you can play your part in the preservation of our archaeological heritage.

The events are on Thursday 26th August, Tuesday 31st August, and Saturday 4th September at Museum nan Eilean, Lews Castle.

Covid precautions will be followed at all times and numbers may be restricted at busy times.
