Surplus Topsoil

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is inviting expressions of interest, for surplus unscreened topsoil arising from the Goathill Development, Stornoway.
In the first instance expressions of interest from community groups and the local voluntary sector within the Western Isles will be prioritised.
The deadline for expressions of Interest for this first round is 12 March 2021
DISCLAIMER
The material is currently stockpiled at the Comhairle's Bennadrove Landfill site. The Comhairle will manage and operate the loading procedure and will provide the necessary labour and plant for this at Bennadrove. However, applicant groups will require to make their own arrangements for pick-up and delivery of the material and meet all associated haulage costs.
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar do not provide any warranty or guarantee as to the quality of the topsoil and will therefore not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from growth of weeds, contamination or any other matter relating to the topsoil. The topsoil will be uplifted and accepted by the applicant in its as-seen condition.
