Traffic Regulation Orders - Proposals for Comment

The public consultation period for the proposed experimental speed limit changes in the Stornoway, Tarbert, and Balivanich and Castlebay areas will close this Friday (15 January) at 4pm.
The proposed Spaces for People scheme will see the implementation of a 20mph limit across Stornoway and Balivanich and Castlebay and a combination of a 20mph and 30mph limit in Tarbert.
Full details of these proposals are in the Draft Orders which, together with a map showing the lengths of the roads affected and a statements of the Comhairle's reasons for proposing to make the Orders may be accessed here.
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send details in writing, either by email to TrafficOrders@cne-siar.gov.uk or in hard copy to the Chief Executive, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Council Offices, Sandwick Road, Stornoway, HS1 2BW to be received no later than 4pm, Friday 15 January 2021. Objections should state the full name and address of the objector, the Order to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
