Stornoway Primary to Operate from Friday

We are pleased to be able to confirm that contractors have been able to complete sufficient repairs at Stornoway Primary to return heating and hot water fully to the primary part of the school and they will now be able to welcome pupils again from Friday 8th January 2021. It continues to be the case that the provision is for children of key workers and vulnerable pupils.
There are some on-going issues and additional testing is required for the new nursery and childcare centre provisions so they will not be able to return to their part of the building until next week.
In summary, the provision for children of key workers and vulnerable pupils is now:
Primary Pupils
Pupils can return to attending at Stornoway Primary from Friday 8th January 2021.
Nursery (3-5)
These children should continue to report to Laxdale Nursery on Friday 8th January 2021 and parents will receive direct communication about arrangements for next week as soon as they are confirmed.
Childcare Centre (0-3)
Provision will continue to be at the old childcare centre on Friday 8 January 2021 and it is hoped that they will be able to return to their new playrooms by Monday 11 January 2021. Parents will receive confirmation of this directly.
