Sara Sheridan was named as one of the Saltire Society's 365 Most Influential Scottish Women past and present. She is best known for writing the popular 1950s Mirabelle Bevan Murder Mysteries as well as historical novels set 1820-1845. Her latest book, The Fair Botanists is set in Edinburgh in 1822.

But Sara is also an equality activist who, In 2018, remapped Scotland according to women's history to memorialize our forgotten foremothers in her book, Where are the Women.

Sara will talk about the writing of her book, women in politics, women activists and notable women from the Outer Hebrides.

There will be time for questions & discussion.
