Temporary Free Parking to Support Local Businesses

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Members agreed to a recommendation for free parking in Stornoway's Perceval Square Car Park, limited to a maximum period of 2 hours, from 13 December 2022 to 4 January 2023.

Loch a Tuath elects three members of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and is situated north-east of Stornoway, comprising three principle areas: Tong, Back and Tolsta, all traditional crofting villages.

Each area has its own primary school catering for children aged 5 to 11 and provision for toddlers. There are three active Community Councils. There are several community groups in the area; including Back Football Club which has been in existence since 1933 and North Tolsta Historical Society
