Comhairle Meetings in Uist
Comhairle nan Eilean Siar's Committee Meetings on 23 and 24 April will take place at Cnoc Soilleir, Daliburgh and Vatersay Hall, Vatersay. The meetings at both venues are open to the public and the Comhairle is encouraging attendance.

South Uist
In 2006 South Uist orchestrated the largest community buyout in Scoltand. Since then Stòras Uibhist has managed the majority of land on the island for the benefit of the local community, in addition to land on Eriskay and Benbecula.
Eriskay
SS Politician was a cargo ship that ran aground off the coast of the Hebridean island of Eriskay in 1941. Her cargo included 22,000 cases of malt whisky and £3 million worth of Jamaican banknotes.
Benbecula
Am Pàipear is an award community newspaper based in Balivanich which focuses on news and events across the Uists.
