Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes opinions on its work and is keen to encourage users of this site to express themselves in a clear and open manner. The primary aim of this site is to allow inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides to provide ideas and feedback to the Comhairle on an ongoing basis. To ensure that this site functions properly, all comments are pre-moderated and as a result will not appear instantly. However, the site is monitored on a daily basis and the Comhairle would aim to allow comments to appear as quickly as possible. Western Isles Development Trust Election of Directors 2021
An Election for eight Directors to serve on the Western Isles Development Trust is being undertaken on behalf of the Trust by the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Election Team. Two Directors will be elected for each of the following areas - Barra & Vatersay, Uist, Harris and Lewis.

Equality Outcomes Consultation
The public consultation period for the CNES 2021-2025 Equality Outcomes Proposal closes on Friday 26 February 2021. To help deliver the best service possible for all communities and staff, the Comhairle identify equality outcomes every 4 years. The outcomes proposed for the period 2021 to 2025 focus on how the Comhairle provides services, engages with the community, delivers education and how diverse the Comhairle is as an employer.
