Community Engagement: Consultations, Surveys and Opinions

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes opinions on its work and is keen to encourage users of this site to express themselves in a clear and open manner. The primary aim of this site is to allow inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides to provide ideas and feedback to the Comhairle on an ongoing basis.  To ensure that this site functions properly, all comments are pre-moderated and as a result will not appear instantly.     Scottish Government Consultation

    The Scottish Government are taking forward a public consultation on the use and regulation of fireworks in Scotland. The consultation is now live and will run for a period 14 weeks, closing on Monday 13th May. Also two fireworks consultation events (afternoon or evening) will take place in Stornoway.

    National Islands Plan and Island Communities Impact Assessments

    This consultation supports the development of the National Islands Plan as set out in Part 2 of the Islands (Scotland) Act 2018. We want the National Islands Plan to be a document that builds on what works well on Scottish islands, and addresses the challenges faced by islands and their communities.

    Public Consultation Outer Hebrides Ferry Services

    Transport Scotland has commissioned Peter Brett Associates (PBA), now part of Stantec, to carry out a transport appraisal considering the long-term options for the ferry routes to, from and within the Outer Hebrides.
