Community Engagement: Consultations, Surveys and Opinions

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes opinions on its work and is keen to encourage users of this site to express themselves in a clear and open manner. The primary aim of this site is to allow inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides to provide ideas and feedback to the Comhairle on an ongoing basis.  To ensure that this site functions properly, all comments are pre-moderated and as a result will not appear instantly.     Housing With Extra Care Charging Policy Consultation

    The Integration Joint Board in Partnership with the Comhairle and the Hebridean Housing Partnership have developed Housing with Extra Care. This consists of individual tenancies in purpose built accommodation designed to meet the assessed care needs of adults requiring additional social care support. It combines independent housing with flexible levels of care and support.

    Community Encouraged to Respond to OFGEM

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has learned that some key investment proposals for the Western Isles for the period 2023 to 2028, put forward by SSEN Distribution, have been disallowed by electricity regulator OFGEM in their draft determination of SSEN Distribution's future business plan.
