Polling Station Review

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar announced on 21 July that a review of Polling Districts and Polling Places within the Na h-Eileanan an Iar area would be undertaken. The review particularly focused on the suitability of premises or facilities for persons with any type of disability.

The closing date for initial comments for the review of Polling Districts and Polling Places within the Na h-Eileanan an Iar area was Friday 14 August 2020.  No comments or suggestions were received by the deadline.

The next stage in the process is the publication of the Comhairle's draft proposals and the Returning Officer's comments.  There is a further opportunity to make representations on these by 5.00pm on Friday 18 September 2020.

The Comhairle would welcome any comments from electors who are registered within the constituency. As well as the general public, the Comhairle will seek input from Community Councils, Elected Members, Political Parties, MP/MSP, Disability Groups and the Third Sector.
