  • Encouraging Young People To Vote

    Cllr Charlie Nicolson, Vice-chair of Education, Sport and Children's Services, is encouraging young people to go out and vote in tomorrow's UK Parliamentary Election.
    Cllr Nicolson stated "It is important for the young people of the Western Isles to vote in tomorrow's Election and to play their part in the decision making process. "

    After the great success of yesterday's training sessions in Stornoway I just wanted to encourage you all to take advantage of brilliant cycle training. Even if you are really nervous or unconfident on your bike this is the perfect opportunity to get that confidence. These sessions are also brilliant If you are confident on riding your bike but would like to ensure that you are cycling in the safest way to protect yourself on the road. The sessions are free and for anyone 16 years and older.
