  • Sustainable Development

    Cllr Donald Crichton, Loch a Tuath, was elected Chairman of the Comhairle's Sustainable Development Committee on Tuesday 16th May. Speaking after the Committee, Cllr. Crichton said:

    "I want to thank colleagues for nominating me. I believe Sustainable Development is a crucial committee with a wide ranging and diverse remit to help address the big economic challenges that we face in the Outer Hebrides. From my perspective there are a number of key priorities that I think will be essential for the Committee to focus on."

  • Working Together for the Outer Hebrides

    The newly elected Leader and Convener of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will work together with colleagues for the benefit of communities across the Outer Hebrides.

    Leader of the Comhairle, Cllr Roddie Mackay, said: "I am committed to working on behalf of communities across the Outer Hebrides."
