Revised Opening Hours for Branch/Community Libraries

The start of the school term today has meant a revision of the branch library hours to ensure that it is easier to manage visitors during the school day.  The aim is to introduce normal opening hours for all libraries, where possible, in September.

While the libraries are still open reduced hours, visitors are encouraged to visit. It is possible to browse the shelves and borrow items as usual, use the libraries for study and research and access the computers and wifi.

The revised opening hours, effective from Thursday 12 August are below:

Castlebay Library, Isle of Barra

Tuesday:     4pm - 6pm
Thursday:   6pm - 8pm
Saturday:   10am - 1pm

Liniclate Library, Isle of Benbecula

Tuesday:     4pm - 7pm
Thursday:   2:30pm - 6pm
Saturday:   10am - 1pm

Tarbert Library, Isle of Harris

Monday:     4pm - 6pm
Tuesday:     4pm - 6pm
Thursday:   4pm - 6pm
Saturday:   10am - 1pm
