We want local women to share their experiences of living on an island. All subjects are covered - from health and welfare to housing and employment.

Funding for Macmillan

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has agreed to continue funding for the Macmillan benefits uptake service for people with cancer and other long term conditions.

Local Development Plan: Re-adoption of Existing Supplementary Guidances

As Comhairle nan Eilean Siar seeks to adopt a new Local Development Plan (LDP) (a land use plan for the future development of the islands) it is also seeking to re-adopt a number of existing Supplementary Guidance documents that form part of the Development Plan (Supplementary Guidance cover topics identified in the LDP in more detail).
