Community Engagement: Consultations, Surveys and Opinions

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar welcomes opinions on its work and is keen to encourage users of this site to express themselves in a clear and open manner. The primary aim of this site is to allow inhabitants of the Outer Hebrides to provide ideas and feedback to the Comhairle on an ongoing basis.  To ensure that this site functions properly, all comments are pre-moderated and as a result will not appear instantly.     Western Isles Health & Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan Consultation

    The documents include the draft strategic plan for the Western Isles Health and Social Care Partnership, an Executive summary and a questionnaire so that people can let us know whether they agree with the priorities set out in the plan. We are interested in hearing from the people who use our services, family carers, members of the public, community leaders, and members of staff across the NHS, Comhairle and third sector.

    Comhairle has new ePlanning Portal

    In line with ePlanning nationally, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is investing in ePlanning as part of its commitment to become more electronic and save the customer some time and money in the process.

    WESTERN ISLES LICENSING BOARD

    The list of current applications is available on the TellMeScotland portal.  Any objections/representations must be made by the date stated against each application to The Clerk of the Licensing Board.

    Comhairle Budget 2016-18

    The Comhairle held an additional meeting on Tuesday 13 January 2016 to consider the Settlement and what budget choices to consult on. The Main Report and Supplementary Report set out the overall position and recommended areas of consultation. A Consultation Paper is now available and can be returned either by post or email. It is also possible to respond to the consultation by completing an Online Survey.

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Budget

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar budget consultation meetings are continuing throughout this week with meetings taking place in Barra this evening (Tuesday 19th), North and South Uist on Wednesday and Stornoway on Thursday.
