Please Vote for The Outer Hebrides Community Safety Partnership

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to report that the 'Outer Hebrides Community Safety Partnership' has been shortlisted for two National Awards at the 2015 Annual Scottish Community Safety Network Awards.

The first award, "Innovative Media Campaign, 2015" is in recognition of our campaigning work in accident prevention and awareness raising via our summer and winter safety booklets and route cards; more specifically, for our unique idea to incorporate Quick Response Codes (QR) onto safety signage; which link directly to first aid advice provided by British Red Cross.

Our signs are revolutionary in three different ways:

1.  They carry unique, location-identifying individual numbers

2.  They contain GPS map references

3.  They utilise 'Smart Phone' technology

The second Award Nomination is for the "People's Choice Award" and this is one where the general public decide the outcome.

So please spend the next minute voting for "SMART signs project" at the link, below. This Award carries a £2000 prize.

That money would enable us to erect an additional 15 safety signs at known risk locations throughout the Islands.

Information on the shortlisted categories can be found here.

Please, please, Share this email with everyone you know via your Outlook and Social Media contacts lists.

And, please Vote for Us; "SMART signs project"

THANK YOU!

Frank Creighton
