    The Failte Café will be open today Wednesday 6th September  2017 from 11am to 2pm.   

    We invite you to join us to sit in, or take-away for those of you with less time. 

    Please come along and support our café volunteers who do such a great job every week. 

                          

     

     
  • Erasmus+ Programme

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar, Sgoil an Taobh Siar and Comunn na Gàidhlig have been involved in a minority languages (Gaelic; Occitan and Gaelige) Erasmus project with counterparts from France and Ireland, for the last three years and held their dissemination event on 30 August 2017 at Lews Castle College.

     
  • Positive Talks On Island Renewables

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has described a meeting with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Industry & Energy, Richard Harrington MP and Paul Wheelhouse, Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy at the Scottish Government, to discuss Island renewables as very positive.

    Back Football and Recreation Club have been shortlisted for a national renewable community energy project competition and we are in the running for £12,000 towards some solar panels for hot water and showers.

    But it's a competition and we need votes. Image M&S energy fund.
